How your readings are made
Every reading here starts with the same two things: your birthday, and the two skies it sits under. The western zodiac reads the month and the day — a sign, an element and a ruling planet. The Chinese zodiac reads the year — an animal and its own element, counted from Chinese New Year rather than the first of January, because that is where the tradition draws the line.
The meanings are not invented at this studio. They are drawn from the traditions that have carried them: the star lore of the western zodiac, the twelve animals and the five elements of the Chinese almanac, and the birthstone calendar as jewellers have kept it for over a century. Where the two skies agree, a reading says so plainly. Where they disagree, it says that too — and where the tradition is silent, the page stays silent rather than fill the gap.
Every guide, card and reading is composed and edited at the studio, then delivered digitally — a blessing card as a print-ready image, an e-book as a PDF, a song as an audio file, a reading by email. A personalized card draws your sign and your animal from the date you give us, and is finished by hand before it is sent.
A reading is a mirror for reflection, not a forecast — and not medical, legal or financial advice.
The best way to see how it reads is to start with your own signs — find your zodiac, or read today's note. And if you ever want the reasoning behind a page, write to us at support@theluckysign.com.
